Children still have time to take part in the Our Queen competition.
Children and teenagers aged 16 and under are able to enter and all submitted pictures will form a unique commemorative supplement which will be sent to Buckingham Palace.
Every entry will also be printed in The Argus and readers will then have the chance to vote for the ultimate winner.
The top portrait will be featured in The Argus and then printed on a commemorative mug which will be available to buy throughout Sussex.
There are already a range of events being organised across the county, including street parties and community gatherings, to celebrate the jubilee extended bank holiday weekend from June 2 to 5.
Pictures can be sent to us in a range of ways, but please remember pencil will appear faint when reproduced in the paper, whereas felt tip, crayon and paint will show up well.
All Our Queen pictures should be on a plain white, A4 portrait sheet of paper.
On the back of every drawing please place the artist’s name, age, school and teacher or parent’s phone number and email address.
Only the child’s first name and age will be printed with the picture in The Argus.
Please submit all pictures to: Our Queen Picture Competition, Marketing Department, The Argus, Argus House, Crowhurst Road, Hollingbury, Brighton, BN1 8AR. The closing date is Monday, May 14, with every picture appearing in The Argus on Wednesday, May 23.
