Today we launch a campaign to find Regency gentleman Percy.
He went missing from under the arches at Madeira Drive following the Brighton Children’s Parade on Saturday.
Same Sky, the parade organisers, were contacted by an anonymous source on Facebook to report a sighting in the Coldean area on Saturday afternoon.
Since then the trail has gone cold.
The team at Same Sky are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and urge anyone who has knowledge of his whereabouts to contact them.
Percy is about 10ft tall and was made from willow sticks, newsprint and domestic paint.
He was wearing a waistcoat, bow tie and top hat and was carrying a book and walking cane.
The Argus has now launched ‘Percy Watch’.
Sharon Mee, from the charity, said: “This is the first time we’ve had something taken from the parade in all the years it’s been running. Someone must have information about Percy. We just want our man returned safely.”
If you spot Percy email news@theargus.co.uk or info@samesky.co.uk or call the newsdesk on 01273 544516.
