A MAN was threatened with a knife and robbed of his mobile phone in the street.
The 22-year old local man was walking home along Westcourt Road in Worthing just after 2am on Monday May 7 when he was approached by two men. One of the men threatened him with a knife and the other one punched him on the face.
The robbers took his mobile phone and a small quantity of cash and ran off eastwards.
The victim was shaken but did not require hospital treatment.
Both suspects are described as white. One was about 5'9" tall, and was wearing a black scarf, clothing and gloves. The second man was slightly taller, wearing a dark navy top, dark trousers and gloves.
Detective Constable Sarah Thurgood said; "This is an isolated incident for the town and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area in the early hours of yesterday morning and who saw anything suspicious.
