A MAN was seriously injured in an early-morning crash.
The 21-year old is in hospital after his car hit a lamp post on the A23 at Bolney at 4.30am on Monday.
The man, who is from Lewisham in London, was driving his white Honda Civic south on the A23 when the car collided with a lamp post on the south off slip road at the junction with the A272.
No other vehicle is believed to have been involved and he was alone in the car. He is currently at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with injuries which are assessed as serious but not life threatening.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "We are asking any other drivers who saw what happened to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0196 of 7/5."
