WHILE listening to a recent debate at Hove Town Hall, I heard Councillor Jason Kitcat, the soon-to-be-leader of the Green administration, make the point that, in his opinion, he felt his party was making Brighton and Hove a “great” and “cutting edge” city.
When I travelled through North Portslade last week, I feel I saw the reality of the current situation.
While Coun Kitcat talks of world-class fixes for the city, in reality his group cannot even achieve the bread and butter aspects of administration.
That is, from my journey, cutting the foot-high grass verges and replacing rusty road signs.
More like a “great” and “cutting edge” developing city.
To conclude on another mystery, where are our invisible local councillors? Do they not see this as a totally unacceptable state of affairs?
