The Olympic torch route has been revised to allow up to 10,000 people to celebrate its arrival into Brighton and Hove.
An official Olympic torch event will be held at Sussex County Cricket Club in Hove on Monday, July 16.
The initial plan to hold the official Olympic Torch Relay celebration on Hove Lawns was changed on safety grounds, with the route altered to finish at the County Ground with |a show including live music, dance and cultural performances..
Brighton-based arts organisation Same Sky is also set to create a night of entertainment at Hove Park as part of the celebrations. The group is planning a unique 360-degree show, based around a giant translucent dome, combining live performance, digital arts, light sequences, shadow puppets and a specially composed audio score.
Information on how to apply for free tickets will be made available next month.
