It is a new digital dawn in the history of The Argus.
The Argus App will be launched on Saturday, meaning your favourite newspaper can be delivered direct to your iPad and iPhone every morning.
It will allow readers to catch up on all the news and sport across Sussex plus the guide, Looking Back and letters.
You can also keep up to date with The Argus Business, Motors and Jobs thanks to the touch screen and page-turning functions.
John Barradell, chief executive of Brighton and Hove City Council, was given a sneak preview of the app.
He said: “The Argus App is a positive step, bringing local news to the community through modern means, which is very much in keeping with the digital nature of Brighton and Hove.”
Comedian Stephen Grant also got an early look at the app on his iPhone.
He said: “The app is ideal for anyone who is often on the road. Thanks to the app I’ll be able to keep up with the Albion whether I’m in Brighton or Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool.”
For those who download the app, there will be one month free access from the day of download. After the month period has passed you will be asked to take out a subscription to the paper at either one-month, three-month, six-month or 12-month increments.
Other features of The Argus App include page-turning, live searches, the ability to view and zoom in on individual pages and stories, and sharing options using Facebook and Twitter.
