Number one Britney Spears fan Jade Gibbs had her dreams come true when she found herself transformed into her idol for a TV show.

The 22-year-old said the experience has changed her life and given her a huge confidence boost.

Jade, from Moulsecoomb, Brighton, has been a fan of the US singer since she was a child.

The healthcare assistant was approached by researchers working for a new Sky Living show called Bigger Than... which gives people a makeover and a chance to become their favourite celebrity.

Jade said: “I have always been a massive fan and love everything about Britney.

“I had never thought about appearing in a show like this because I didn't really think I looked that much like her.

“But when they told me the experience would include doing fitness regimes and losing weight as well to get into shape, I jumped at the chance.

“I was overweight at the time and feeling pretty low about myself. I knew I needed to do something about it and when I knew I would be getting advice from a nutritionist and a personal trainer, I decided to go for it.”

Jade went into training last year and filming took place in October.

She said: “It was a great experience. I was a bit shocked when they told me I would be doing Britney’s own exercise routines.

“It was quite a shock to the system but definitely worth it in the end."

Bigger Than Britney airs on January 18 on Sky Living at 9pm.
