Fatboy Slim will become the first music artist to play at the American Express Community Stadium.
The Hove resident and die-hard Albion fan said the gigs to be held on June 1 and June 2 next year will be the “biggest event of his life".
The gig, which Norman Cook himself describes as the “worst-kept secret”, was officially announced just minutes ago at the American Express Community Stadium Albion’s game with West Ham today.
Fans waved 10,000 specially-made Fatboy Slim flags as the superstar DJ made the announcement with a little help from the stadium’s big screen before kick-off.
The Big Beach Bootique 5 will also feature Brighton-based DJ Carl Cox and dubstep duo Nero with more acts set to be announced shortly.
Speaking to the Argus ahead of the announcement, Norman said: "The four previous beach boutiques were a terrific celebration of my life with the city and we’re moving that to the most beautiful new venue.
"Obviously being an Albion fan and having marched and petitioned for Falmer in the first place, to be able to do the inaugural gig at the Amex stadium is the thrill of a lifetime.
"It will be the event of the year for Brighton and the event of my life.”
Albion season ticket holders can get their tickets now.
Anyone with a BN postcode will be able to buy tickets to both dates from 9am on Wednesday for an early bird price of £35 from www.ticketline.co.uk.
Then from 9am on Friday tickets will go on general sale.
Both gigs will start at 3pm and go on to 10.30pm.
