An elderly pedestrian was taken to hospital after a daylight hit and run.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident involving a 90-year-old man and a motorcyclist.
The incident took place about midday yesterday on the eastbound carriageway of the A259 Goring Road, Worthing.
The pedestrian, who was crossing the road, suffered a serious injury and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
The motorcyclist was seen to ride off at speed towards the West Worthing area.
The rider is described as wearing all white clothing with a white crash helmet.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call 0845 6070 999 and ask for the Chichester road policing team.
