Armed police were called to a home in Brighton this morning.
A man was arrested after a stand-off at the address in Freshfield Road.
Police were called at about 5.45am to what they described as "a domestic dispute".
Firefighters from Roedean Community Fire Station were put on standby while officers surrounded the house.
The man was persuaded to come out peacefully by 7am and was arrested.
