A landmark hotel has been put up for sale for £30 million.
The Thistle Brighton hotel in Kings Road has been placed on the market by its owners Curzon Hotels (Operator) Limited and The Curzon Hotel Properties Limited Partnership.
They have asked multi-national property group CBRE to find a buyer for the iconic property.
CBRE said the hotel is “performing well under the current challenging trading conditions and has the potential for future growth”.
The sale will include a management contract with the Thistle brand until 2032.
Simon Quarrell, manager of the hotel, vowed to deliver business as usual to customers.
He said: “The management contract with Thistle runs for another 21 years so customers can look forward to receiving the usual high levels of service from the team here. I do not expect any changes to personnel.”
Sam Harrington Lowe, owner of event organiser Pretty Clever Events, in Church Road, Hove, said there was no need for a new owner to make major changes.
She said: “We place quite a lot of business at the hotel such as conferences and parties.
“We know the staff and they perform well for us. They don’t need to make any major change – just keep on doing what they are good at.”
The hotel has 210 bedrooms as well as nine meeting rooms, a health and leisure club and a swimming pool. It is located close to the Palace Pier which was also recently put on the market.
