Work on a new community garden has continued - despite activists being told it would be destroyed.
Those behind the former community-owned plot in Lewes Road, Brighton, came together in January to take over a new site known as The Mound.
But they feared they would be forced off the prime plot, which is next to the Earth and Stars pub in Brighton city centre, after the agents placed a sign on its fence.
The group of about ten guerrilla gardeners confirmed they remained on site all day on Friday without opposition from the owners Worthing-based Hargreaves Property.
A spokesman for the group said a van did drive past but no action was taken.
