Anti-supermarket activists are squatting at the site of a proposed new Sainsbury's in Brighton.
Protesters have been in the St James's Street building, which formerly housed independent greengrocer Taj, since the weekend.
A meeting was held last night to discuss potential uses for the four-storey building, which the Sabo-taj group want to reclaim for community use.
An Argus reporter was turned away from the open meeting.
Police are currently at the scene to check whether any crimnal damage has been caused by the squatters.
