Up to 4,000 people a year are set to benefit from a landmark agreement between Albion in the Community and American Express.
The link-up between Brighton and Hove Albion’s charitable organisation and the financial company announced today will see the two organisations work on seven key community initiatives this year.
The partnership forms part of last year’s announcement that the financial services firm had acquired naming rights for the new American Express Community Stadium at Falmer.
Among the new programmes from the partnership will be Gully’s Day Out which will allow groups of young disabled people to enjoy relaxing and fun days out to a number of attractions across Sussex completely free of charge.
Year Ten school pupils across the county will have the chance to get involved in workplace projects and a Community Stadium Health Squad will raise awareness on public health issues, training volunteers to spread the word.
These projects will all start this month with more initiatives announced later in the year.
