Season tickets for the new American Express Community Stadium at Falmer went on sale yesterday, with fans clamouring to get the best view in the house.
They were even given the chance to bag a seat for life as Albion became one of the few clubs in the country to offer a private seat licence, which allows fans to sell on or bequeath their seat.
Although some tickets have already been issued as part of a trial run of new technology, yesterday was the first time they had been on sale to the general public.
Fans visiting the Falmer stadium were welcomed by chief executive Martin Perry before being given a glimpse of the work in progress at the stadium.
New technology also allowed buyers to see a computer-generated image of exactly what they could see from their chosen seat.
One of the first to get their ticket was 47-year-old Roger Kay, from Hove, who along with a group of friends was buying 38 season tickets.
