Fans of Brighton and Hove Albion are flying high to catch a glimpse of the club’s new stadium.
Seagulls supporters have been snapping up deals offered by flight companies based at Shoreham Airport which offer fans a unique view of the American Express Community Stadium at Falmer.
Companies have also been taking calls from eager fans who want to arrive in style for the first game at the ground next season.
Fast Helicopters has just started offering fans a 30-minute ride over the Amex and down the coast for less than £100 per person.
Mark Hills, of Warren Drive, Southwater, near Horsham, took to the skies to celebrate his father Roger’s 62nd birthday along with his mother Brenda in October.
Mr Hills, 38, a season ticket holder and 1901 Club member, said: “The flight was everything we hoped for and expected.
“We were extremely fortunate on the day, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, the sky was crystal blue.
“As soon as we set off from Shoreham you could pick out the stadium and when you saw the arches it was just awesome.
“I’ve seen lots of pictures of the stadium but from above it’s even more impressive, we really got to see it in all its glory.
“We’ve had our heart set on it for quite a while but we wanted to wait for the stadium to be more complete.”
The company has also been contacted by one fan interested in flying into Albion’s new home for the first game of next season but the company say they need to resolve safety issues before they can offer this service.
