This picture of what is now known as the Albion beach in Brighton was probably taken about a century ago and the original was touched up with colour to make it more attractive.
It shows some bathing machines at the edge of the water and buildings, including the Queen's Hotel which still stands today.
The caption ignores the beach and says the picture is of Grand Junction Road, showing Ye Olde Bunne Shoppe.
This building, more than 200 years old, is now listed. It is actually in Pool Valley in the top right of the picture but has not been used for selling buns for many years.
