To my distress, my new boyfriend told me I am too loose. Then he left me. So I went to my GP, who said the problem was caused by the fact I have had four children. She told me: "All you need is some pelvic floor exercises." Unfortunately, she didn't explain what this pelvic floor is or how I am supposed to exercise it.
Sorry to hear about your boyfriend. The pelvic floor is a layer of muscle which surrounds the vagina nd the rectum.
In order to get it to contract, you need to make the sort of muscular twitches which prevent you from passing urine or wind. Pelvic floor exercises consist in doing these twitches repeatedly every day for many months to make the muscle much firmer and stronger. Any midwife, nurse or physio can give you fuller details.
