A busy summer's day at Black Rock open-air swimming pool in Brighton is pictured on this postcard.
Opened in the Thirties, the Art Deco complex was popular immediately before and after the Second World War.
It had a large pool, diving boards and a sun terrace.
Its use declined in the Sixties, as holidaymakers found warmer spots, and in the Seventies cracks were found in the pool, possibly caused by the building of Brighton Marina.
Black Rock closed in 1978 and the site has only had temporary uses since then.
Currently there are sand sculptures there.
However, plans are being put forward for permanent ice rinks combined with a large arena.
This picture comes from the collection of Terry Sinnott in Brighton.
