"My name is Francesca Courtice and I am searching for my half-brother Guy Harvold (aka Guy Harvold-Courtice when he was younger).

"The last time I saw Guy was at our paternal grandfather's funeral about 17 years ago.

"When our father, Brian Edward Courtice, passed away in 1997, I hired a private detective who promptly found an address for Guy in Bournemouth.

"I wrote to him to let him know of our father's death but never received a reply. Therefore, I do not know whether he ever received the letter or in fact whether that was his address.

"Recently, I have returned from being abroad for a few years and have resumed my search for my brother.

"My partner, an ex-police officer, did some research for me and found a news item in The Argus for May 10, 2002, relating to a local language teacher named Guy Harvold aged 24 who rescued some students from a coach.

"The name and age matches my brother exactly, as I know his birthday is May 30, 1977, and there are very few Harvolds in the UK. (Guy's mother, Edda, is Norwegian.) "The article went on to say that Guy was now teaching in Turkey but obviously that was four years ago.

"Guy is my only surviving blood relative and I am desperate to contact him. I would be very grateful for any assistance anyone could offer me.

"I currently live in North Wales and you can call me on 01492 549836 (landline) or 07906 773841 (mobile).

"Or write to 4 Aber Drive, Craigside, Llandudno, North Wales LL30 3AN or email frankieddx@hotmail.com."
