Albion heroes past and present will be celebrated at the American Express Community Stadium.
Club bosses have made a revised planning application to create a museum in the North Stand of its new £93 million home in Falmer.
It comes just days after Seagulls’ chiefs confirmed the stand, which faces people approaching from Falmer railway station, would remain “sponsor free” out of respect of the terrace at Albion’s former Goldstone Ground home.
The exhibition space will include archaeological artefacts uncovered throughout the construction of the stadium.
The new proposal, which has been submitted to Brighton and Hove City Council planner, also includes creating an enlarged club shop and a café, which will operate on match days and Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
A number of club offices will also be housed in the North Stand, which on match days should be home to some of the Seagull’s most passionate fans.
The plan states the alterations will create about 20 jobs.
Brighton and Hove City Council planners have recommended the proposal be approved at the local authority’s planning committee meeting on Wednesday at 2pm in Hove Town Hall.
