Seagulls fans are being offered the chance to become a permanent part of the club’s new stadium.
For about £100, Brighton and Hove Albion supporters can have their name engraved into a granite stone on the walkway around the American Express Community Stadium at Falmer.
Inscriptions on the ‘Heritage Stones’ could also include a message of support, business names or the name of a favourite player.
Fans will have the freedom to write any message they like, within reason, in 32 characters which will be laid in time for the stadium’s opening next summer.
The offer, which the club have been developing for months, is set to be officially launched on their website today and initially 5,000 stones will be made available.
The 20cm by 20cm stones will be made from hard-wearing granite imported from China with engraved blue lettering.
Fans who donated £250 or more to the club’s Alive and Kicking appeal will have the stones provided free of charge.
The club will launch the offer with Uckfield-based Parker Building Supplies which also won a £400,000 contract to supply concrete blocks for the new stadium using stones manufactured in Ford near Arundel.
