Dear Mr Prescott, The waiting has gone on long enough. It is now time for you to say Yes to a Brighton and Hove Albion football stadium at Falmer.
Albion survived in this season's Championship by the skin of their teeth - their future only decided on the last game of the season.
They were in that desperate situation ecause their current ground restricts capacity to little more than 6,000 spectators.
That is a situation that can't be allowed to continue.
It is two years since you were handed a petition bearing more than 61,000 signatures urging you to allow Albion to make their new home a 22,000-seat stadium in Falmer.
That is long enough. While other clubs have been able to build some of the most modern stadiums available, Albion have been left behind.
Supporters can only cast envious glances at other grounds and dream of what might be.
If there was any lingering doubt that building a ground at Falmer would be the right decision, we urge you to read the personal messages inside The Argus today that have been sent to you from hundreds of frustrated supporters who have waited long enough.
Those fans speak with passion. They also speak out of desperation.
The evidence has been put, the voices heard and the case has been made - it's time for a decision. Albion have suffered like no other club.
Extra time is not an option. The city of Brighton and Hove, its football club and its supporters deserve a result - and that must be a move to Falmer.
