Is "pride" really the right word to use? I suppose it depends on its meaning.
To quote from Wikipedia: "In Christianity, pride is the competitive and excessive belief in one's own abilities which interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God, or the worth which God sees in others."
So, in this context, pride is bad. But there are other meanings, one of which is "an ostentatious display" or "splendid show".
Taking this as the meaning of "pride", it would be the right word to use in the context of a flamboyant or showy street parade.
