Toby Forer, the manager of the Brighton Sealife Centre, describes those protesting against the seal and otter pools as "extremists".
Our campaign has been peaceful almost exclusively consisting of holding an information stall, giving out leaflets and asking people to sign our petitions.
If that's extremist, all the national organisations who do the same had better watch out. Many large organisations supported us, too.
As for his comment about legalities, I can assure him and anyone else who read the article such campaigning is still legal though, in the present climate of demonising protest, one has to wonder how much longer this will be so.
Perhaps now the Sealife Centre has dropped the idea of keeping seals and otters, they will go on to re-home, in more suitable conditions, Lulu the turtle, the catfish, the large crab and the octopii, all of which have caused members of the public to complain to the staff and to Brighton
