Dale Tranter has urged his Glynde players to stay focused as they edge closer to a Lord's final.

Glynde entertain Hampshire champions Easton and Martyr Worthy in the quarter-finals of the npower National Village Knockout on Sunday (2.00).

If Glynde emerge triumphant, they would play host to Timsbury or Paul for a place in the final at Lord's on Sunday, September 3.

Skipper Tranter said: "I know the big incentive is to get to Lord's but if we don't concentrate on the game in hand we won't get there.

"We are really looking forward to it. It would be nice to have a bat first and if we posted more than 200 I feel we could defend that with the bowlers we have got and with the way we field.

"Fielding is something we work hard on in training. We are a young side and everyone is focused on what they do."

Sunday's visitors play in a league lower than Rowledge, who Glynde beat at the last 32 stage, although it is understood they field very different Saturday and Sunday teams.

Glynde, whose team is the same as the one which is challenging for a fourth successive East Sussex League crown, have an injury doubt over batsman Rob Mouland (hamstring) but bowler Mark Beddis should be fit.
