A Sussex estate agents has been named one of Britain's best.
Michael Jones & Company, based in Chapel Road, Worthing, walked away with a prestigious silver award at the 2006 Estate Agent of the Year Awards.
Partner Richard Heppenstall picked up the award from Tweedie Brown, of sponsors The Property Search Group (PSG), in a lavish ceremony at The Dorchester in Park Lane, London.
The awards are judged through customer responses to questionnaires, using thirteen key service criteria, to measure agents' performance.
Mr Heppenstall said: "We place a great deal of emphasis on providing the highest standard of customer service and are thrilled to be named one of Britain's best estate agents."
Results of the competition revealed standards were rising, with more than 44 per cent believing information from agents was excellent as opposed to 32 per cent the previous year.
Mr Brown said: "Things can go wrong but it is the agent's ability to act quickly and professionally that is crucial in order to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty. I would like to congratulate Michael Jones on their win."
