Big Brother favourite Pete Stephenson has been incarcerated in an even smaller living space.
Pete and fellow housemates Imogen, Glyn, Aisleyne and Spiral have moved into the Big Brother prison, a tiny annexe where they have been given special jail duties.
Their first task was to peel and cube 1,000 onions.
Brightonian rock singer Pete has been locked up in the reality TV show for more than three months.
Yesterday, on day 69, he and the other prisoners were told that if they failed to cut the onions properly, they will be forced to live on basic rations of rice and chickpeas for the rest of the week.
While others moaned about the work ahead of them, Pete characteristically tried to keep spirits high.
After careful calculation, Spiral informed the others:
"There's five of us in here, that's two hundred onions each. Two hundred. Oh my God."
Pete, shoving a sack on his head in an attempt to protect himself from the smell, said: "That's not too bad."
As the task wore on he and Aisleyne stuffed wads of tissues up their noses.
