Adam Shields has put his latest Elite League comeback on hold for another week.
The Eastbourne Eagles star misses tonight's trip to Oxford (7.30) as he recovers from his recent crash in Poland.
Shields was told he had not rebroken his pelvis in his latest fall but is still affected by bruising and soreness and managed just two races in Sunday's 50-45 home win over the Cheetahs.
Eagles will operate riderreplacement for Shields as they look to pick up a rare bonus point and possibly an away win.
Meanwhile, their Aussie star will continue to practise ahead of the league trip to his hometown track Poole a week tonight. Kevin Doolan, a possible stand-in tonight, is needed by his Premier League track Kings Lynn.
Eagles were outscored 12-3 over the last two races on Sunday and also conceded a rare 8-0 to jeopardise their chances of a bonus.
Promoter Jon Cook said: "We should have won by 20 points but we didn't for various reasons. When you are five points up from the home leg, there is no point going away just looking for a bonus point.
"We need to be going there for a win and I will be disappointed if we don't get it."
Cheetahs make one change from the side which visited Arlington. Mildenhall top scorer Jason Lyons replaces Oliver Allen as guest replacement for injured Davey Watt.
