I am dismayed Baroness Andrews rejected David Lepper's request to call in the decision to approve the Hollingdean waste site.
Mr Lepper gave comprehensive reasons to re-examine the decision to approve this site.
I would like to remind the Government its Every Child Matters strategy says children are entitled to the following: Being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution to society and social and economic well-being.
How can the same Government say planning to build a waste site next to a school is "not of regional significance"?
Our community will continue to fight this decision. If you want to help, consult our website at www.dumpthedump.org.uk.
