Housemate Pete Stephenson has been saved the pain of seeing another close friend evicted from the Big Brother house.
The Brighton-based singer, favourite to win the show, took part in a task on Sunday where he had to name his "best friend" in the house and buy them a present for £10.
He chose Canadian housemate Richard, a self-styled "sexual terrorist" who was saved from eviction on Friday when flatulent recruitment consultant Jayne was ousted.
Aisleyne comforted Pete on having a tough choice, saying: "Dickie's a hard one ain't he?"
In a heart-to-heart with Suzie on Saturday, Pete said he had been sorry to see Jayne go but was pleased he could have more early-morning chats with Richard.
He also revealed his feelings towards newcomer Jennie in a chat with Glyn.
He said: "Jennie's wicked. When I look at her she reminds me of really special friends that I've got. She hasn't got an ego at all."
He said the "friendship task" could have been set by Big Brother to cause friction in the house.
He said: "It may separate people up a little bit."
