Mark McGhee today challenged his Albion players to stake a claim for League One action.
Albion face probably their toughest fixture of the pre-season programme when they face French second division outfit Le Havre (5pm BST).
McGhee's men have been piling up goals against amateur opposition but Le Havre have beaten two top-flight French sides in pre-season and start their league campaign in just seven days.
McGhee is still chasing various late additions to his squad and has warned fans not to jump to too many conclusions when they see his line-up today.
But he added: "We will get a clearer picture. A team has now got to start emerging.
"Even though we are desperately trialing people and looking and talking to others about bringing one or two in, we've got to work on the basis that this is what we've got.
"Maybe this is the team that goes to Rotherham if we don't get anyone in. Hopefully it won't be like that but we will work on that basis.
"This game is against classier opposition, better opposition and will be a better test.
"There will still be a bit of experimentation going on but we will get closer to our League team today.
"A few people will get 90 minutes. People have now got to start having full games."
