I am very much opposed to the regeneration project proposed for Brighton Marina.
I have had a berth at the marina from its inception and have noticed a large increase in traffic over the years. I very often have to queue up to get into the marina and, even though I have two allocated parking spaces, very rarely manage to get into either of them.
There is not enough room now for all the people who use the marina and it is becoming an absolute nightmare with only the single entrance.
I am very worried about what would happen should there be a fire, a bomb scare or any other accident where the emergency services would need to attend.
Also, my property overlooks the marina and, due to previous developments, I have lost part of the view I was able to enjoy from my flat. This will get even worse if this new regeneration is allowed to take place.
Bigger is not necessarily better and I believe the marina and surrounding areas will not be enhanced by this project.
