Manager John Hollins says Crawley's future is looking promising on the pitch, despite their problems off it.
A young Reds side, mainly made up of trialists, drew 2-2 in a pre-season friendly at Horley last night.
The only familiar names were teenagers Jack McLeod and Scott Marshall who both featured in the first team at the end of last season.
There was also Jack Hollins, the nephew of the boss, who came on in the second half.
Marshall and Karl Baker put Crawley 2-0 up with goals either side of half-time before the Combined Counties side scored two late goals.
Hollins said: "It was useful for us to see these young players in action and we have learnt a lot from it.
"Most of them come from the local area and they have a lot of potential. Not all of them will make it and we know we can't have a team of kids.
"We want nine or ten seniors with the youngsters but it is looking good.
"We are just waiting to see what happens with the administration. Until then we will continue to work hard."
Crawley host League One outfit Brentford at the Broadfield Stadium on July 29.
Crawley team: Tolfrey, Sackman, Stapleton, Lovegrove, McLeod, Marshall, Weston, Osman, Booth, Jupp, Baker.
