I agree with Chris Bourne about the need to change the Brighton's schools admissions policy (Letters July 13).
The residents of Goldsmid ward are at a disadvantage for secondary school provision as past council decisions have left them with no nearby school.
It is certainly desirable for children to go to a local school but one group should not be severely disadvantaged as a result.
