The article on "tombstoning" quotes a coastguard manager as saying many parents watch their children jump off the groynes (The Argus, July 10).
The previous weekend, I was at Saltdean beach with my daughter and saw a mother and father joining their children in diving off the groyne.
If adults are seen to do this, what message is it giving to both their children and others on the beach?
