The Revd Webster's letters are usually calmly couched and much of their contents unobjectionable and, indeed, sometimes challenging.
All sensible people would agree no religion should be attacked - rationally criticised, yes, but not attacked.
Not having seen The Opera, I don't know into which category it would fall.
If he would agree to some proposals of mine, I would be prepared to put in a word for the Christian variety.
First of all, nobody should be placed in the House of Lords as a representative of any religion.
Secondly, if there is only one "accessible" school in an area, it should be secular.
Finally, membership of any faith school should be fully voluntary, its work subject to the national curriculum and it should not receive any financial help from taxpayers.
