P Holding of Burgess Hill said the show Jerry Springer, The Opera portrayed Jesus Christ as an object of ridicule (Letters, July 4).
There were other serious concerns, too, and I am not surprised. In the book of Genesis, God's creation is seen to be good.
Nowadays, most people think of "good, but could be better". And there are ridiculous people and things to be found in the world.
But Jesus is the one who lived a perfect life and made the ultimate sacrifice - himself, no less. How sad it is his name is still taken in vain.
