The new Crew Club building in Whitehawk is an exciting development for the local community of East Brighton (The Argus, June 29).
With youth unemployment in East Brighton running at nearly 15 per cent and 16 per cent of year 11 pupils leaving school with no qualifications, the opportunity to develop a new learning and educational resource for young people is welcome.
The Crew Club will use the new building to develop its links with education and training providers and the local business community to help young people develop new skills and find jobs. There is also a fundraising campaign to help equip and run the building and we are keen to hear from anyone who can help.
Call the club on 01273 608607.
-Phil Doyle, Chair of Crew Club Trustees
