I am bemused at the decision of X-Leisure to limit Parking in the multistorey car park in Brighton Marina to four hours.

They advertise "spend the day shopping and then relax in one of our many restaurants and bars".

They do not say it has to be done in four hours.

This unreasonable and short-sighted limit on parking will make visiting the marina impractical for myself and, I suspect, many others. Parking and traffic is already a major problem there.

If X-Leisure is having to limit parking now, it makes one wonder what additional problems would be created if a further 1,000 homes and more shops were to be built.

Four hours might be sufficient for day-trippers, who wish to spend their money at the marina and go on to Brighton, but, for people wishing to stay longer, it effectively makes "relaxing" impossible.

However, I'm sure that was not the intention - or was it?
