Started in Oxford by Steve Larkin and Jim Thomas, Hammer And Tongue has become the biggest Slam Poetry event in the UK.
The duo have been instrumental in creating a cutting-edge spoken word and performance poetry culture, reaching out to communities and organising workshops in schools, universities and prisons.
With new and established artists from the UK and around the world each with their own unique style and voice you can expect some breathtaking performances and an electric, high-energy atmosphere. This event was described as "the best poetry gig in Europe hands down," by former US National Slam champion Buddy Wakefield.
Arrive early for slam sign up.
Starts 8pm, tickets cost £5 and £4. Call 01273 647100.
