Alongside Jumpin' Jack Frost, Fabio and Grooverider, Bryan Gee pioneered the beginnings of the jungle scene.
With the launch of his label V, he was the first to put out releases by Roni Size and later brought DJ Marky, XRS, and Patife to the UK from Brazil.
He'll be playing a unique "Voyage Thru V" set, starting with inspirational flavours from back in the day and working through the seminal label's releases of thepast 13 years.
Originally from Gloucester, Bryan developed a taste for the musical lifestyle from involvement in a reggae soundsystem.
He moved to London, became involved in pirate radio and the acid house scene. He met comrade Jumpin' Jack Frost through radio and the two set about developing their own sound.
Bryan formed V after discovering a tape made by Roni Size and Krust - and failing to find a label which would sign them.
His roster now includes Lemon D, Bill Riley and Dillinja. "These producers all have the same thing in common - they've all got a soulfulness and a hardness, that when blended together is running," he says.
"A V track will do damage to the dancefloor but doesn't have to be angry. It's just the whole vibe - the way the bass is rolling and breaks are stepping."
