After all the Fischerspooner/electroclash hype from New York and Berlin, it's time for the UK to strike back in the shape of electro-pop label God Made Me Hardcore.
Started by veterans of the music scene Richard Norris (Psychic TV/The Grid), who's playing tonight, and Andy Chatterley (Psychic TV/Yum Yum/Sperm Records), the label attempts to capture the electro moment in all of its glory.
Acts on the books include The Droyds, Siobhan Fahey, Riviera, Mugatu, Moon Unit, Sensyon, Ivana F, Bunnymad 69 and Sleaze. Playing tonight is Mekon (Wall Of Sound), whose third album Something Came Up is out in July. The former member of Psychic TV and Agent Provocateur has collaborated with some of the more eccentric names in modern music, such as Afrika Bambaata, Marc Almond and Bobby Gillespie.
Also on tonight's bill is Mark Moore, who achieved fame as the driving force behind the dance/sampling pioneers S-Express. Today he is one of clubland's most unique DJs, who comes complete with a trademark customised red telephone.
His career started at London's MUD club when the resident DJ asked him to fill in one night. He was a huge hit and was immediately offered a residency which he held for five years.
Over the years Mark has indulged in various projects - running three labels, remixing, producing and writing.
A few years ago Mark took a break from the superclubs to concentrate playing smaller places with eclectic music policies - which he felt were "better for the soul". He's likely to play a mix of nu-electro, electro disco, twisted house, trippy disco and eclecto-clash.
11pm-4am, £8-£10. 01273 699069.
