A train operator has assured cyclists they can board the train with all types of bicycle.
Andrew Conroy, head of customer services at Gatwick Express, said: "Unlike many of our competitors, we transport cycles of all types at all times.
"Over the years we have welcomed a variety of cycles including choppers, BMXs, mountain bikes, road racing bikes and even vintage bikes.
"Whether our passengers are travelling from London to Sussex or from the Crawley area to cycle around London they can rest assured Gatwick Express will never fold on this issue."
Phillip Darnton, chairman of Cycling England, said: "We applaud any train operating company which allows cycles on board their trains and takes an interest in passengers who do want to carry cycles on trains. Gatwick Express is a great example of a company which caters for cyclists."
