Having read the article concerning Worthing and Southlands Hospitals Trust's bid to save £5 million (The Argus, June 13), surely the first thing Stephen Cass should do to save money is reduce the salaries he and the rest of the bosses receive.

No business is totally dependent on its managerial staff. They will always will be a burden on the work force as they are non-productive.

I have yet to meet a manager with their workforce's skills, yet workers do successfully manage themselves.

So save money, Mr Cass, either by cutting your own wages or cutting down on unnecessary management.
