Having headlined Brighton Dome this time last year as part of their Worldwide season, the grand architect of reggae returns with a post-match set (the venue is open from 5pm for England v Trinidad).
Inextricably tied to Jamaica's musical history, Toots And The Maytals were formed by Toots Hibbert in 1962 amid the heyday of ska and have since been seen at the forefront of virtually every shift in reggae's direction.
They are even credited with giving the genre its name via their 1988 single Do The Reggay.
Forty years on and last year Hibbert and a revitalised band returned with an album which fused roots-reggae with the sounds of the modern mainstream, from rock and pop to blues and rap, featuring collaborations with Eric Clapton, Ryan Adams, No Doubt, Bonnie Raitt and Keith Richards.
"I learned that music is an endless thing," says Hibbert of the True Love recording sessions.
"All these different artists - I feel their spirit, they feel my spirit, and now a younger generation can feel our spirit."
Starts at 9pm. Tickets cost £16.50, call 01273 673311.
