Last-minute talks between a bus company and its drivers have failed to avert strike action.
Bus services across Eastbourne will grind to a halt tomorrow as drivers strike over pay and alleged bullying and bad management.
Members of the Transport and General Workers Union, which is organising the action, want their hourly rate to go up from £7.80 to £9 - in line with drivers in Brighton and Hove.
Managers at Eastbourne Buses met union representatives on Monday and put a proposal forward but members voted unanimously to reject it.
Drivers have planned two 24-hour stoppages, the first from midnight on Thursday to midnight on Friday and the second from midnight on Tuesday June 20 to Wednesday June 21.
The dates coincide with two of England's group matches in the World Cup and publicans have warned that fans might drink and drive in order to get to and from the pub to watch, or be forced to pay for taxis.
