I beg to differ with Mr Sutton's remark that "it could be good news for the citizens of Brighton and Hove" if parking penalties are found to be invalid (The Argus, June 10). Not all citizens of Brighton and Hove are pleased to see there may no longer be a deterrent for those who park illegally.
The inconvenience they cause should mean they are encouraged not to park inconsiderately.
Many disabled citizens already struggle to park.
I cannot imagine they will be pleased to hear those who use the spaces but do not need to will no longer have to pay a penalty.
Rather contrary to Mr Sutton's suggestion, I suspect there will be a feeling it is not such "good news" among some residents of the city.
