Michael Yardy is back in the Sussex squad for tomorrow's crucial C&G Trophy game against Ireland in Dublin.

The left-hander has responded well to treatment after dislocating a finger 12 days ago.

But there is no place for Rana Naved who looks to have played his last game of the season for the county.

Rana is still troubled by a groin strain and is due to return to Pakistan early next week for a training camp ahead of their tour of England.

Jason Lewry, who has not played any one-day cricket this season, is included in the squad as cover for Robin Martin-Jenkins, who is still troubled back back spasms.

It has been a memorable week for Lewry who took his 500th first-class wicket against Lancashire on Wednesday.

Like the majority of the squad, he has never played in a domestic final but two wins from their remaining three games would put Sussex through to Lord's for the first time since 1993 and victory tomorrow would open up a three-point lead at the top of the South Conference.

He said: "I've not played one-day cricket much recently but with quite a few injuries around I have to be ready if needed. I'd retire a happy man if we could win a Lord's final."
